The Dog Wizard adopts socialization philosophies from the Dogs Playing for Life Organization. They are experts in creating social play groups and organizing them in the safest and healthiest ways. They visit shelters and rescue organizations all over the world to help them get their (sometimes 100% caged) dogs out into play groups, allowing them the chance to play, exercise, and socialize. As dogs become calmer and more mentally balanced as a result of these play groups, there is a reduction in behavioral problems and an increase of adoption rates. The subject of socialization and play groups can be one of the longest to fully understand and feel confident to orchestrate, so the more you see it, experience it, and are exposed to it…the quicker you will improve. We strongly encourage you to continue your socialization education and knowledge by attending one of their mentorships.
There are many reasons why it is important to socialize dogs with other dogs and you will soon see when you start to train your own dogs and run your own socials the value that it can add to the lives of the dogs you are training. In this course we will be going over setting up safe social groups and how to manage them.
